Dhikala Forest Rest House - Dhikala Zone

Dhikala forest lodge is under the authority of forest department which also manages Corbett Tiger Reserve. The forest lodge is located in the core area of Corbett Tiger Reserve. The main entrance to Dhikala Forest Lodge is Dhangadi gate. It is necessary that you have the necessary permit which would help tourists the permission to tourists. The forest guards will check the permits of tourists for making the entry into the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Dhikala forest lodge is at approximately 30 kms from the Dhangadi gate, and it would in fact take around 01 Hr to 01 Hr 15 Mins for covering the entire distance. Dhikala Forest Lodge is placed at the distance of 43Kms away from Ram Nagar town.The entire journey from Dhangadi gate to Dhikala is loaded with plenty of adventures, as you have to cross dense sal forest and Ramganga River with manyrivulets, the fauna is likely to spot at Dhikala includes herds of spotted deer, Barking deer, Sambhar, Barasinga, Elephants, and Hyena, Fox, Monitor Lizard, Royal Bengal Tigers as well. Dhikala forest lodge is located at core area of Corbett Tiger Reserve which makes it ideal for staying in the wildlife enthusiast. Opening Time and Best Time ​

Dhikala is available for the tourists from 15th November to 15th June. Dhikala is unapproachable during the Monsoon period. Dhikala is most popular zone of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve amongst the tourists. Dhikala Forest is also known as the core area of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Dhikala is strategically situated in middle of Corbett Tiger Reserve, and the Dhikala forest lodge nicely overlooks Ramganga Reservoir.
Prohibitions at Dhikala Forest Lodge

​ Alcohol and non-vegetarian food not allowed. All your personal and non-biodegradable remains like tin cans, plastic, glass bottles, metal foils etc. should be put into a carry bag and you should dispose it off in a proper manner.
